A Big Timber Frame Home
with Stick Frame Components
This project is a Davis Frame hybrid home that is complex in design and includes many beautiful details including decorative gables, multiple roof lines, gable dormers, a shed dormer, bay window, shed roof window protection and the list goes on.
An interesting building requirement is that half the house will be built over the capped foundation requiring weatherproofing and insulating the exposed subfloor to withstand the elements until the second phase is built.
Our foundation contractor has a unique technique for photographing his forms from above. See the foundation page. While there you’ll also see the site before and after blasting the ledge that prevented excavating.
